Holiday Nannies — Terms & Conditions
The following terms and conditions form your understanding and agreement of our responsibilities as Ionian Nannies a trading name of Corfu Group Ltd.
Ionian Nannies act as an introductory agent and Nanny support for the Nanny that we source on the Client’s behalf. When you ‘the client’ hire a Nanny, you are entering into a contract with the Nanny via Ionian Nannies. As an agent Ionian Nannies do not accept responsibility for the acts or omissions of the Nanny.
As an agent, Ionian Nannies’ responsibilities are limited to the production of a written job advert based on the information that the client or holiday agent has provided Ionian Nannies with. Ionian Nannies take care to ensure the description of the position is both enough information for the applicant Nanny to understand the basic requirements of the role in order to accept the booking, and protect the privacy and confidentiality of ‘the client’. If the Client wishes to see the written job advert that Ionian Nannies produce, before it is circulated within the Ionian Collection, the Client must indicate this to us (written or verbally) when or before supplying the information that will make the basis of the job advert. We cannot guarantee a Nanny in the Ionian Nanny collection will be available until the booking is confirmed, but will do our upmost to provide at least one Nanny who is available.
We will organise Nanny’s travel to the country where you are holidaying, Nanny’s travel to and from where you are holidaying, Nanny’s renumeration/allowance and Nanny’s accommodation if living out for the duration of the holiday package selected. All of the above details from part of the Nanny support service and will be arranged and included in the price that we quote you. We aim to provide Clients with a choice of 2-3 Nannies applications. In this case the Client may then request to video call potential Nannies then inform us which candidate they select.
When both the Client and the Nanny confirm the booking to us, the 50% non refundable deposit will be due. 30 days before the booking commences the remaining 50% will be due. If a booking is made less than 30 days before Nanny’s start date the full amount is due upon booking. If we need to source one of our Nannies from England there will be an additional £250 surcharge which we would inform you about at the time of quote.
An example form to act as a basis of the Nanny and client contract will be made available when both the Nanny and the Client have confirmed the booking through Ionian Nannies - and therefore end the introductory service period with Ionian Nannies and begin the support role. The quote for introductory services will include the costings for the Nanny support service. Any further extras selected or acquired such as - over time, delivery of children’s items or additional Nanny relocation costs will be invoiced and due the penultimate day of your holiday directly to Ionian Nannies.
Ionian Nannies do not act in any other capacity and do not enter into any contract with you ‘the client’ other than providing the outlined services above. The Nanny and Clients own terms and conditions will be outlined in the Nanny and Client contract, this will apply in addition to these terms and conditions of Ionian Nannies’ Introduction Service, in the event there is any conflict between any provision of these terms and conditions of introduction and the Nanny and client contract, the relevant provision of the Nanny and client contract will take precedence.
Through hiring Ionian Nannies’ Introductory and support services the Client agrees to pay the relevant fees upon booking in order to confirm their holiday Nanny. Through this arrangement the Client also agrees that any arrangements made with applicant Nannies through Ionian Nannies will be through Ionian Nannies, even if the Client was put in contact with the same applicant Nanny through a different agency after they were introduced by Ionian Nannies. Entering into Ionian Nannies Introductory service is the Client expressly consenting to this arrangement.
The following terms shall have the following meanings:
You / Client: The party signing this Agreement for Introductory Services.
Introductory Services: Agreement is subject to correction due to any accounting error or omission. Introductory Service consists of a written job advert, circulation within our Ionian Nanny Collection, communication between client and applicant nanny, provision of a basic contract example for use between holiday Nanny and Client, Ionian Nannies’ electronic ‘Daily Overview’, a couple of selected ‘Ionian Activities’. These services are provided after the appropriate payment which is outlined above.
If the final payment is not received by the due date Ionian Nannies reserves the right to terminate this agreement.
Applicant / Nanny: the potential employee of the client, the person who deems themselves a suitable candidate who responds to the job advert that Ionian Nannies put out either online or through the Ionian Nanny Collection.
We / Us / Ionian Nannies: a trading name of Corfu Group Ltd that acts as an Agency between Client and applicant nannies
Cancellation Policy:
There is a non-refundable deposit of 50% upon booking the package selected by the Client. After this point the Client may cancel the booking without any further cost. If for any reason the Nanny booked is no longer available we will do our utmost to provide you with an alternative applicant from our Collection.
If due to COVID-19 related government regulations, you are prevented from traveling, Ionian Nannies will follow the below cancellation policy:
1. You will receive a voucher to the value of 100% of any fees paid to be credited against a future booking with us, valid for 18 months from the time of the start of the original booking.
2. Any non-refundable costs incurred by the owner or his agent with your approval and on your behalf in preparation for your stay, will not be refunded, and if they have not been paid for by you, will still be charged to you.
