International Nannies — Terms & Conditions
The following terms and conditions form your understanding and agreement of our responsibilities as Ionian Nannies a trading name of Corfu Group Ltd.
Ionian Nannies act as an introductory agent for the Nanny that we advertise for on the Client’s behalf. When you ‘the client’ hire a Nanny, you are entering into a contract with the Nanny via Ionian Nannies and not with Ionian Nannies itself. As an agent Ionian Nannies do not accept responsibility for the acts or omissions of the Nanny.
Ionian Nannies do not act in any other capacity and do not enter into any contract with you ‘the Client’ in relation to the employment of the Nanny which will at all times be between the Nanny and yourself ‘the Client’. The Nanny and clients own terms and conditions (which we may recommend) will be outlined in the Nanny and Client contract, this will apply in addition to these terms and conditions of Ionian Nannies’ Introduction Service, in the event there is any conflict between any provision of these terms and conditions of introduction and the Nanny and Client contract, the relevant provision of the Nanny and Client contract will take precedence.
As an agent, Ionian Nannies’ responsibilities are limited to the production of a written job advert based off the information that the client has provided Ionian Nannies with. If the Client wishes to see the written job advert that Ionian Nannies produce, before it is made available online, the Client must indicate this to us (written or verbally) when or before supplying the information that will make the basis of the job advert. Ionian Nannies take care to ensure the description of the position is both enough information for the applicant Nanny to understand the basic requirements of the role in order to apply (if the Nanny deems their self an appropriate applicant), and simultaneously protecting the privacy and confidentiality of ‘the client’. Ionian Nannies are also limited to the information the Nannies have provided to us, who have expressed themselves to be suitable for your requirements (which you informed Ionian Nannies of, and which Ionian Nannies based the job advert on). Ionian Nannies is responsible for facilitating you and the applicant Nanny to gain contact with each other - where requested to do so and otherwise communicating between you and the Nanny in respect of both the client and Nanny’s interest in entering into a contact with each other (omitting Ionian Nannies). It is completely the client’s responsibility to check the applicant Nanny’s qualifications and security clearances, Ionian Nannies is currently unable to accept responsibility for checking these details for each country and jurisdiction. The information we provide is obtained from the Nannies and is passed on in good faith.
The introductory prices provided by Ionian Nannies consist of a non-refundable deposit of a £250 which funds Ionian Nannies to write a job advert, circulate it within the Ionian Nanny collection, advertise the position in suitable online places (decided by Ionian Nannies), communicate with applicant Nannies, and arrange contact between both the Client and the applicant Nannies, who have indicted to Ionian Nannies they believe themselves to be suitable for the job and therefore to be interviewed by the Client. After receiving the Nanny application details the Client decides whether or not to interview the applicant Nanny (via online video calling or in person) for the job position. After a virtual or in person meeting, if both the Client and the Nanny feedback to Ionian Nannies that both parties would like to continue further with the job application, Ionian Nannies will continue to communicate between you and the Nanny whilst you arrange an in person meeting / trial period between yourselves (for which the Client is responsible for the costings of, including the applicant Nanny’s time which Ionian Nannies recommend being based on the salary offered in the job advert). After this short, paid trial period, if both the Client and the Nanny wish to continue with the job application Ionian Nannies will then accept the remaining £1750 from the Client to complete payment for ‘introductory services’ and will provide a basic contract that could form the basis of the arrangement between both you and the Nanny. Ionian Nannies will also provide the Nanny with our Ionian Nanny electronic ‘Daily Overview’ plan and provide the Nanny with access to some of our ‘Ionian Activities’ relevant to your family. Ionian Nannies will wish both the you and the Nanny good fortune with their arrangement, and ‘check in’ with how both you and the Nanny are doing for a 2 month cooling off period after the date the contract between you and the Nanny begins.
An example form to act as a basis of the Nanny and client contract will be made available when both the Nanny and the Client have expressed (verbally or written) to Ionian Nannies that they would like to begin their own contract between themselves (the Nanny and the client) and therefore end the introductory service period with Ionian Nannies. Ionian Nannies will provide this example form when Corfu Group has received both payments (deposit and final payment, totalling £2000) for introductory services.
Ionian Nannies aims to provide each Client with 2 - 4 applicant Nannies, but cannot guarantee this. If Ionian Nannies have advertised a job for a period of 2 months and have not found any suitable candidates Ionian Nannies reserves the right to inform the client that Ionian Nannies are ending the Introductory Service with you ‘the Client’. Ionian Nannies will provide you with the job advert they created on your behalf. Ionian Nannies will take no further payment from you.
If for any reason the contract between you and the Nanny (found through the introductory service by Ionian Nannies) ends within this 2 month cooling off period Ionian Nannies offers a 50% discount off the total fee for if you wish to employ Ionian Nannies to begin the process again, or wish to hire a replacement applicant Nanny Ionian Nannies previously put you in contact with through the introductory service. Please note this discount is available once per family/client.
Through hiring Ionian Nannies’ Introductory services the Client agrees to pay the final fee outlined above prior to making an arrangement with an applicant Nanny who Ionian Nannies have sourced and put the Client in contact with, even if the Client was put in contact with the same applicant Nanny through a different agency after they were introduced by Ionian Nannies. Entering into Ionian Nannies Introductory service is the Client expressly consenting to this arrangement.
The following terms shall have the following meanings:
You / Client: The party signing this Agreement for Introductory Services.
Introductory Services: Agreement is subject to correction due to any accounting error or omission. Introductory Service consists of a written job advert, advertising of job, collection of applications, communication between client and applicant nanny, provision of basic contract example for use between applicant nanny and client, Ionian Nannies’ electronic ‘Daily Overview’, a couple of selected ‘Ionian Activities’. These services are provided after the appropriate payment which is outlined above.
If the final payment is not received by the due date Ionian Nannies reserves the right to terminate this agreement.
Applicant / Nanny: the potential employee of the client, the person who deems themselves a suitable candidate who responds to the job advert that Ionian Nannies put out either online or through the Ionian Nanny Collection.
Us / Ionian Nannies: a trading name of Corfu Group Ltd that acts as an Agency between client and applicant nannies.
Cancellation Policy:
There is a non-refundable deposit of 50% upon booking the package selected by the Client. After this point the Client may cancel the booking without any further cost. If for any reason the Nanny booked is no longer available we will do our utmost to provide you with an alternative applicant from our Collection.
If due to COVID-19 related government regulations, you are prevented from traveling, Ionian Nannies will follow the below cancellation policy:
1. You will receive a voucher to the value of 100% of any fees paid to be credited against a future booking with us, valid for 18 months from the time of the start of the original booking.
2. Any non-refundable costs incurred by the owner or his agent with your approval and on your behalf in preparation for your stay, will not be refunded, and if they have not been paid for by you, will still be charged to you.
